Russia’s GDP rises 1.7% in July, 0.9% in January–July

MOSCOW, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s July gross domestic product (GDP) growth sped up to 1.7% on the year from 0.8% in June, and amounted to 0.9% in annual terms in January–July, the Economic Development Ministry said in a report on Monday.

The ministry also improved its estimates for GDP growth in June to 0.8% from 0.7% and in May to 0.2% from 0.1%. The April–June estimate was also upgraded to 0.9% from 0.8%.
